Vic's 100-200 peso challenge!
It’s already 3:40pm when I went outside our house, quite untimely for shooting my video. I was running out of battery for my camera and the weather was surely against me. I knew I will be struggling shooting if I’ll be handling umbrella on my other hand. I’m not even sure if I brought enough money for I know it will not be ideal to be thrifty in this kind of situation. And most of all I didn't have any idea where to go.
It was almost impossible for me to shoot this video until I spotted this FX terminal. Luckily, I was able to catch their last trip. I ran as fast as I can for I knew that the best view will be beside the driver (so I can ask him questions too) and some passengers were still paying the fair outside. Now that problems were already solved, all I have to do was to hold the camera as still as I can up until I reach the last stop. The whole trip was shaky. I guess, he was driving too fast and stepping too hard on the breaks. That ride made me drowsy but I still managed to do my thing. I struggled a bit on focusing the camera and taking down notes at the same time. On our way out of Marikina, we passed by Riverbanks Mall, then SM Marikina. When we were already in Pasig, we passed by Rockwell Business Center, The Medical City, Meralco Company then Strata 2000, Oakwood Hotel then U-turning towards Podium. We also passed by the San Miguel Corporation/ Petron. After a while, I saw Madison Square then we went thru a tunnel then I saw the MRT train. As we approach towards our destination, I was really impressed with the exterior of the establishments and buildings there, from a first timer’s point of view. Everything is really fancy. I wonder how much people pay for their cost of living in this city. I didn’t even bother taking down notes anymore for I was enjoying the sight-seeing. I enjoyed the trip. Maybe it was because of that certain feeling of adventure, going with the flow without having any idea of where I’m heading at but still has that tranquillity to it. |
